Plugin privacy policy
Effective October 8, 2026.
Who operates this service
The Founding Reader plugin is operated by Gerald Norby under the Norbonics studio identity. This policy covers the public source-retrieval endpoint. Contact norbonics@outlook.com with privacy questions or requests.
What the tool receives
When your assistant calls a tool, it sends search terms or a document reference, optional collection, author or document filters, and pagination or context settings. These inputs may contain personal information if you include it. We ask assistants to send short research queries without names or unrelated details. We do not request your full conversation, an account, contacts, files or payment information.
Use and retention
The server uses inputs to find and return public-domain source text and editorial notes. Application code does not write tool inputs or results to a database, log or analytics service. They are processed in memory for the request, with no application archive. Anonymous request counters are held in process memory and reset each minute. We do not build user profiles, sell query data or use it to train models.
Service providers
Vercel hosts the public endpoint and processes the request to deliver it. Its infrastructure may process IP addresses, request paths, timestamps, status codes and security information. We do not place search terms in URLs or application logs. Infrastructure records follow Vercel's retention policies and service configuration; runtime-log visibility ranges from one hour to 30 days by plan. This is not a promise that all provider security records are deleted within that window. Your assistant provider separately processes your conversation and tool interactions under its own policies: OpenAI for ChatGPT, Anthropic for Claude. We make no additional calls to OpenAI, Anthropic or another AI provider.
Website visits and support
Opening a reading link is a separate website visit. The website uses Google Analytics in production and stores reading preferences and bookmarks in your browser. These features are not used by the tool endpoint. If you email support, we receive your address and message through Microsoft Outlook and retain the correspondence while needed to resolve your request and related follow-up. Ask us to delete support correspondence when it is no longer needed.
Your choices
Leave sensitive details out of queries. You can stop using or disconnect the plugin at any time. Contact norbonics@outlook.com to request access to or deletion of personal information you sent to support. Because we do not maintain a tool-query archive or user accounts, we cannot retrieve a personal query history. Requests concerning ChatGPT, Claude or other provider-held data must also be directed to that provider.
Changes
We will update this page and its date when the service's data practices change.
