Plugin terms of use
Effective October 8, 2026.
The service
Gerald Norby provides The Founding Reader plugin under the Norbonics studio identity as a free reference service. It searches the site's founding-era collection and returns source excerpts, attribution, dates, curated debates and documented replies. No account, purchase or subscription is required; your assistant provider's terms and charges are separate.
Sources and interpretation
Returned wording follows the collection's transcriptions and documented editorial choices. Source records name the document, writer and date, and note where authorship is disputed or shared. Historical texts can contain errors or views you disagree with. Check the linked document and surrounding argument before relying on a quotation. The assistant's interpretation is not part of the source and may be mistaken.
Appropriate use
The service provides reference material, not legal, financial or crisis advice. Do not use it to transmit secrets, interfere with availability, evade limits or attempt access to systems or information outside the published tools. Automated access must respect rate limits and failure responses.
Availability
We may limit requests, change the service or suspend access to protect availability. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, a particular search result or correction of every source error. No charge is made for an unsuccessful request.
Source rights
The documents in the collection are United States public-domain texts; the Sources page identifies each transcription's basis. Public-domain status can differ by jurisdiction. These terms do not grant rights that the operator does not hold, or restrict rights you already have in public-domain text.
Privacy and contact
The plugin privacy policy describes how tool requests and support messages are handled. Contact norbonics@outlook.com for support, corrections or questions about these terms.
